"Wed night 23rd in Woodbridge.....Collingwood U10B down 2-0 with ~10 minutes to go...after having few shots scored one which completely changed the game and pressed the rest of the game getting multiple chances and scored the tying goal 5 minutes later. Everyone was psyched to play on the new field Fisher 4, and after a bit of a slow start the relatively speedy Comets took advantage of the larger than normal field beating Vaughan to most every ball creating many scoring chances and scoring with increasing frequency as the game wore on. The defence played well and had good support from the midfield and limited Vaughan's offence to a pair of penalty kicks, one of which was stopped (plus the rebound) by keeper Spencer Matthews. Goals: Conner Wihby 2 , Spencer Matthews 1 After having most of the play, but inexplicably being down 3-0 on a couple of strange plays in the first 15 min, another weird play, a red card hand ball in the crease, turned the game around in Collingwoods favour. Scoring on the ensuing penalty shot and then a couple of minutes later it looked like a win if not a rout was in order. Alas it took the whole second half until the final minute to get the equalizer despite having numerous chances.

Every single player had a great game from Kale igniting the team with close calls in the opening minutes to great defensive play from Jaden, Orion, and Alec, and some excellent saves in net by Spencer. Lots of hard work from forwards Oscar and Ben. Collingwood is now tied for 3rd (of 8) after 6 league games with a record of 3wins-1loss-2ties

Goals: Tyler MacArthur "Another crappy dirt pitch that the boys couldn't get used to, nonetheless outworked by this team that we beat in Collingwood, not a good effort by our boys excepting Tyler who matched the physical play of the opposing big midfielders" With the last loss the team finally lost their grip on 4th to which they have been clinging.
