On Saturday, June 16th the U12 Boys rep soccer team played their first game of the York Regional Soccer League's President's Cup tournament. The Woodbridge Strikers travelled to Collingwood to take on the hometown Comets. With a slim 1-0 lead at half time, the hometown team was relentless with their offensive play, scoring three goals in the second half to win the game 4-0. With the strong support of defencemen William Service and Jay Payton, Joe Hollingshead was able to hold off the visiting offence to walk away with the shut out. Collingwood's offence was lead by Matthew Tippold scoring a hat trick and Zac Hannon for 1. Collingwood's next game is Monday, June 18th in Unionville.
