The Comets overcame a spirited performance from a much improved Barrie team to book it's place in the semi-final of the PYC cup.

The Comets quickly ran out to a 2-0 half time lead on goals by Jacob Miller and Ryan Roy. The Spirit however fought back to tie the game just before the end of regulation time. A well balanced over time saw both teams go close to finding the winner however as the game looked to be heading a penalty shoot out the Comets were awarded a penalty kick which was well converted by Ryan Roy. The Comet's excellent defence held on for the last few minutes to preserve a well deserved win.
